Brothers, family members,
friends and guests - Greetings in the name of Alpha!
Welcome to the official website of
the New Jersey Association of Alpha Phi Alpha Chapters (NJAAPAC).
We are District IV of the Eastern Region of Alpha Phi Alpha
Fraternity, Incorporated, and represent the members living
in the state of New Jersey. Our mission is to promote the
ideals of the national organization through our individual
and collective action within New Jersey, and to preserve
a spirit of fraternity and camaraderie among members in
our state.
For 102 years, the Alpha Phi Alpha
Fraternity has been at the forefront of academic excellence,
community activism, and the achievement of civil equality.
Since its founding by several African-American students
at Cornell University in December 1906, Alpha Phi Alpha
has supplied voice and vision to social justice issues in
America and throughout the world. Through their actions
and achievement, prominent fraternity members such as Martin
Luther King Jr., Thurgood Marshall, Paul Robeson, Cornel
West, and W.E.B. DuBois have typified the role of Alpha
throughout history.
In an ever-evolving America, Alpha
Phi Alpha has remained a relevant institute of social justice
and community contribution. Its nationally recognized programs,
including partnerships with the March of Dimes, Boy Scouts
of America, and Big Brothers-Big Sisters, have ensured that
its members can continually have positive impacts in the
lives of those around them.
Under this backdrop, the members
of NJAAPAC strive to support the national organization through
implementation of these and other philathropic programs
in communities throughout New Jersey. Whether it be through
donating thousands of dollars per year in college scholarships,
registering hundreds to vote in state and national elections,
or mentoring at-risk youth in urban school systems, brothers
of the New Jersey District are committed to donating their
time and financial resources to help those in need. I am
proud and privileged to lead such an excellent group of
men!
Please feel free to visit the various
sections of our website. Learn about us, our Fraternity,
our history, and our programs. On behalf of the college
and alumni members of the New Jersey Association of Alpha
Phi Alpha Chapters, WELCOME.
Your Humble Servant in Alpha,
